About the Mini-Course

Does your dog bark or growl at other dogs while on a leash? Reactivity is a common behavior challenge among our four-legged students! This mini-course is a compilation of two webinars + bonus resources, focusing on many different aspects of reactivity. Part 1 of the course (2.5 hours) will go over reactivity at an over-view level, talking about reactivity is (and isn’t), the different factors in your dog’s life that can be impacting their reactive behavior, and the components of a behavior modification plan for reactivity. Part 2 of the course (2.5 hours) will talk in more detail about specific elements of a behavior modification plan, including defensive leash handling, training concepts for changing reactive behavior, using food (and other types of rewards) appropriately with reactive dogs, and specific skills to teach your reactive dog to help them learn better behaviors. Each part of the course includes discussion, video examples, and Q & A with the live webinar participants.
